Description
The Cardiovascular Technologist performs technical aspects of cardiac procedures, records and analyzes hemodynamic and physiological waveforms, prepares and monitors patients, assists with basic and advanced life support, maintains equipment and medical supplies, and supports hemodynamic monitoring systems and specialty imaging such as angiograms. The role also contributes to data analysis, quality improvement, reporting, and departmental efficiency. Candidates need cardiovascular technology education or training, relevant certification, BLS and ACLS or PALS certification, and at least one year of direct cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular, or electrophysiology laboratory experience.
