Description
SAIC is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer/Cybersecurity Architect to provide expert technical leadership and oversight for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department’s cybersecurity team. The role will design, implement, and maintain enterprise security architecture, including Palo Alto Networks firewalls, virtual private networks, wireless security, DNS, SIEM, and incident response, while ensuring compliance with CJIS and other regulatory requirements. It is a fully onsite contract position in Orange, California, with an initial 12-month term and potential transition to a full-time SAIC employee. The position requires a relevant bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree, 4–7+ years of experience depending on the degree, a CISSP or GREM or similar certification, and strong security engineering and project management skills. Compensation is $80–$100 per hour, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits potentially available.
