Abacus Technology is looking for a full-time Cyber Security Engineer to join the AFCENT Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) at Shaw AFB. The engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, managing, and maintaining various security devices such as IDS/IPS, LogRhythm Enterprise Security Manager, ACAS, End-Point Security Systems (ESS)/Host-Based Security Systems (HBSS), and VPN equipment. They will also assist in developing sensor processes and checklists, resolving network issues, ensuring compliance with security policies, building network profiles, creating system concept of operations, documenting reports and trend analyses, staying updated on vulnerabilities, preventing intrusive activities, isolating threats, conducting troubleshooting, performing network security monitoring and intrusion detection analysis, maintaining ESS/HBSS and related products, and providing LAN/WAN support. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to work in a 24/7/365 environment, including occasional night shifts and travel to CONUS sites.
