Description

Avant is hiring a Security Engineer to design, build, configure, and deploy security controls across hybrid on-premises, cloud, and SaaS environments. The role focuses on integrating and automating security solutions, supporting secure technology delivery, managing security platforms, improving detection and monitoring, and providing secondary Identity and Access Management support. Candidates need 3–5 years of security engineering experience, hands-on knowledge of network, endpoint, SIEM, cloud, email, and vulnerability domains, and exposure to scripting, APIs, automation, or DevOps practices.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 3–5 years of experience in Security Engineering, Cyber Security, Infrastructure Security, or a related discipline
Hands-on experience across network security, EDR, SIEM, cloud security, email security, and vulnerability management
Experience implementing and supporting security controls across hybrid environments
Experience supporting SIEM onboarding, security monitoring, and detection engineering
Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike, Netskope, BeyondTrust, Abnormal AI, SIEM, IDAM, or PAM platforms
Cloud security experience across Azure and/or AWS
PowerShell, Python, automation, or infrastructure-as-code experience
Experience in financial services, healthcare, or insurance
Knowledge of APRA CPS 234, ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AZ-500, Security+, CEH, or OSCP
