Description
OpenAI is hiring a Cybersecurity Applied AI Engineer to partner with customers and help them safely deploy OpenAI models, APIs, Codex, and agentic workflows in cybersecurity use cases. The role leads discovery, pilots, prototypes, reference architectures, and safe implementation patterns across application security, vulnerability management, SOC and incident response, detection engineering, cloud security, identity, and GRC automation. It requires 5+ years of customer-facing technical experience, strong cybersecurity expertise, hands-on experience with APIs and security tooling, and the ability to design AI workflows with retrieval, structured outputs, tool use, guardrails, telemetry, and human-in-the-loop review. The position is based in San Francisco and offers relocation support.
