Workday is hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer for its Security Automation & Integration Engineering team to own agent, evaluation, and application work for its Active Defense platform. The role focuses on building eval harnesses, agent scaffolds, schemas, data contracts, and security-facing application UIs; integrating SOAR, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and ticketing systems; and delivering operational, traceable security tools. Candidates need strong Python, production software experience, LLM or agent-system experience, cybersecurity knowledge, and comfort with schemas, observability, and ambiguous problem solving. The primary location is Reston, Virginia, with additional United States locations, and the role offers a hybrid arrangement requiring at least 50% office or field time per quarter.
