Description
9th Way Insignia is seeking a Cybersecurity Tools Engineer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs Cybersecurity Operations and Services Enterprise program. The role involves engineering, configuring, integrating, and sustaining cybersecurity tools for detection, prevention, vulnerability management, configuration management, and compliance; developing implementation plans and technical documentation; integrating tool data with security operations and monitoring processes; and supporting upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and operational handoff. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant technical experience, at least five years of cybersecurity tool engineering or related technical experience, hands-on experience with security tools, and strong troubleshooting, automation, and documentation skills. The salary range is $98,135–$125,000 USD, and the position is contingent upon contract award.
