Description
The Child and Youth Program Assistant works directly with children and youth in a Department of Defense child and youth program, developing and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, supervising participants, maintaining safe indoor and outdoor environments, supporting special-needs participants, communicating with parents and employees, documenting developmental progress, and assisting with program compliance and accreditation. The role requires effective communication, teamwork, child and youth development knowledge, and completion of required training; entry-level applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, while intermediate and target-level applicants need additional experience and credentials.
