Description

The City and County of San Francisco is hiring a permanent IS Engineer to support the BI Platform Change project that migrates the Reports and Analytics solution to a Snowflake-based platform. The role combines functional and technical work, including business and systems analysis, OBIEE/OAS dashboard and BI Publisher report development, RPD and metadata modeling, ETL and ODI development, query optimization, troubleshooting, and documentation. The position also supports the current Oracle BI platform and collaborates on the new Snowflake platform using dbt, SQL, and other data tools. An associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent credits, plus one year of systems experience, is required; the salary range is $143,572 to $180,596 annually.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Associate degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a closely related field, or equivalent credits.
Required Previous Experiences: One year of experience analyzing, installing, configuring, enhancing, and/or maintaining system or platform components.
Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in OBIEE, OAS, ODI, BI Publisher, SQL, and data warehousing.
Hands-on experience with RPD development, dashboard creation, performance tuning, and security implementation.
One year of information systems experience, including system analysis, business process design, application development, or IT project management.
