Description
The Data Architect defines and governs the organization’s data technology strategy, designing data models, standards, databases, integration flows, backup and recovery, and governance policies. The role advises development, analytics, and business teams, collaborates with DBAs, infrastructure, and security teams, and documents architectures and technical decisions. It is strategic and design-focused rather than operational, requiring strong data architecture experience, knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data warehouses and lakes, and cloud architectures, along with strategic, technical leadership, and cross-functional communication skills.
