Amazon is hiring a Data Center Chief Engineer to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, and building automation systems in AWS data centers. The role performs planned maintenance, corrective work, emergency response, root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, project management, vendor coordination, training, and safety oversight, while supporting new facility design and regional operations. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent industry experience, extensive data-center infrastructure experience, and proficiency with technical documents and Microsoft Office.
