Description
The Data Center Chief Engineer serves as the primary escalation point for electrical, mechanical, and fire/life-safety facility operations in an AWS data center. The role oversees routine and emergency maintenance of critical systems, performs root-cause analysis and troubleshooting, trains and guides Engineering Operations Technicians, develops standard practices, supports facility projects, and coordinates with vendors, IT managers, and business leaders. The position requires at least three years of relevant electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience, data center or construction experience is preferred, and candidates must be able to travel to or commute between data center locations. The role is based in Sparks, Nevada, with a base salary of $96,000 to $166,300 annually.
