Description

AWS is hiring a Data Center Construction Manager to lead the construction, commissioning, handoff, and capital-improvement projects for new and existing data centers. The role owns project scope, quality, schedule, budget, contractor and vendor management, bidding, change orders, cost and schedule reporting, constructability reviews, and support for commissioning and facility operations. The position is based in Sidney, Ohio, and requires substantial construction management, MEP systems, data center delivery, and general contractor experience, along with a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent engineering science, or 11+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Previous Experiences: Experience constructing electrical and mechanical engineering systems, including large-scale power distribution, generation, and cooling systems.
Experience in construction or construction program management of large, complex projects involving large-scale MEP plants.
Experience in data center delivery, mission-critical facilities, or equivalent industrial or manufacturing facility construction.
6 years of general contractor and vendor management experience covering requests for proposals, bidding, change orders, quality control, and RFI/submittal tracking.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in project control, cost or schedule management, and construction programming for infrastructure and mission-critical projects.
Experience with environmental due diligence, permitting, and compliance projects, including CWA 404 and NPDES permitting, groundwater protection, wastewater discharge, and natural and cultural resource evaluations.
