OpenAI is hiring a mid- to senior-level Data Center Controls Network Engineer to design, validate, scale, and operate resilient and secure OT network architectures for high-density AI data centers. The role covers controls and automation requirements, reference architectures, network design, telemetry, commissioning, vendor evaluation, testing, troubleshooting, and lifecycle operations, with periodic travel to campuses, vendors, labs, construction sites, and commissioning activities. Candidates need at least eight years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline, and strong expertise in industrial networking, OT/IT integration, redundancy, security, protocols, and network operations.
