Description

AWS is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operation Engineer to maintain and operate electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire/life-safety systems in data centers. The role manages planned and unplanned infrastructure work, contractors and vendors, service-level agreements, change and incident management, performance reporting, and projects improving capacity, reliability, safety, sustainability, and efficiency. It requires at least four years of relevant data-center or critical-space facility experience, familiarity with service-management systems, and may involve on-call rotations and shifts up to 12 hours.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 4+ years of relevant experience maintaining electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire systems in a data center or critical-space facility
Preferred Qualifications: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, or relevant technical engineering, plus critical-environment experience
Experience managing vendors and contractors performing construction, maintenance, and upgrading work in large-scale critical environments
Energy Commission registration or competent-person certification
