Amazon Web Services is hiring an Engineering Operations Technician Intern to provide hands-on technical support for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in its owned and operated data centers. The intern will troubleshoot and maintain equipment such as generators, switchgear, UPSs, PDUs, cooling systems, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems; assist with root-cause analysis; take operational readings; use CMMS workflows; and coordinate with vendors and contractors. The internship is full-time for 40 hours per week over six consecutive months, starting in March/April 2027, with daily on-site work and a typical Monday-through-Friday schedule. Applicants need a relevant higher education qualification or bachelor's degree, professional English proficiency, teamwork and time-management skills, and, for South African applicants, a valid identity document, prior unemployment, and age below 35. The role does not offer immigration sponsorship.
