AWS is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer to maintain and optimize the electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, power, and cooling systems that support 24/7 data center operations. The role includes troubleshooting critical infrastructure, managing contractors and vendors, conducting root cause analysis, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, supporting rack installations, monitoring facility performance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field, at least four years of relevant data center or critical-environment experience, at least five years of Microsoft Office experience, and at least three years of vendor management experience. It involves rotating shifts up to 12 hours and on-call responsibilities.
