Description

AWS is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Engineer to support the physical operation and maintenance of AWS data centers. The role manages electrical, mechanical, and fire/life-safety equipment; corrective and preventative maintenance; risk mitigation; vendor and contractor oversight; incident and change management; performance reporting; and projects improving capacity, reliability, safety, sustainability, and efficiency. The position requires at least four years of relevant data center or critical-environment experience, on-call support, and knowledge of systems analysis and reliability concepts.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 4+ years of relevant data center or critical-environment experience, or 4+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience
Operations and on-call support experience for data center facilities, mission-critical plants, or production facilities
Preferred Qualifications: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, HVAC, mechanical engineering, or a relevant technical field, with critical-environment experience
Experience managing vendors and contractors performing construction, maintenance, and upgrading work in large-scale critical environments
