Description
AWS is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer to maintain and optimize the electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, power, and cooling systems that support 24/7 data center operations. The role includes troubleshooting critical infrastructure, managing contractors and vendors, conducting root cause analysis, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, supporting rack installations, monitoring facility performance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field, at least five years of data center engineering or operations experience, five years of Microsoft Office experience, vendor management experience, and five years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience. The schedule involves shifts up to 12 hours with rotating schedules and on-call responsibilities.
