Description
The Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) is Amazon’s front-line responder for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation in data centers. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining generators, switchboards, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems; troubleshooting facility and rack-level events; performing limited maintenance; conducting root-cause analysis; monitoring equipment readings; managing workflows and spare parts through a CMMS; supervising contractors; responding to off-hour emergency calls; and complying with safety and physical-security procedures. The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience, an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph, and offers rotating 12-hour shifts in Laurel, Maryland.
