Description
Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, Shift Engineer to support mission-critical data center operations. The role maintains, operates, troubleshoots, and performs preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, HVAC, power, cooling, and life-safety equipment; supports contractors and vendors; conducts root-cause analysis; monitors building and electrical management systems; and performs rack-level work. The position requires flexible on-site shifts, travel between data center locations, and physical work involving heights, ladders, and lifting. Candidates need at least one year of Microsoft Office experience and one year of electrical or mechanical facilities maintenance experience; data center engineering experience, technical-documentation skills, and an associate or technical degree are preferred. The role is based in Sterling, Virginia, with starting pay of 32.88–57.50 USD per hour.
