Amazon Web Services is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Trainee to support the operation and maintenance of mission-critical data center facilities, including diesel generators, electrical systems, UPSs, cooling systems, and other mechanical and HVAC equipment. The role involves contractor supervision, limited maintenance, root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, safety oversight, operational readings, and metrics reporting, with a six-month fixed-term hire and possible transition to full time. Candidates need an associate or technical degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a relevant discipline, strong communication skills, and 1–2 years of experience with Microsoft Office; a bachelor’s degree and one year of critical facilities operations maintenance are preferred.
