Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical electrical and mechanical data center equipment, including generators, fuel systems, switchgear, UPS systems, PDUs, batteries, cooling systems, chillers, pumps, and motors. The role performs daily facility rounds, building and electrical management system monitoring, rack installations and decommissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, technical writing, and contractor support. It requires at least one year of electrical or mechanical experience and one year of Microsoft Office experience, with flexible day, night, and weekend scheduling; the position may support multiple locations and may require travel for training. The role is based in Wink, Texas, with a starting hourly pay of 32.00 to 57.00 USD.
