Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical electrical and mechanical data center equipment, including generators, switchgear, UPS systems, cooling systems, and building management systems. The role performs preventive maintenance, rack installations, root-cause analysis, technical writing, vendor support, and on-site troubleshooting, with flexible evening, overnight, and weekend shifts and possible travel between data center locations. Candidates need at least one year of electrical or mechanical facilities maintenance experience, Microsoft Office experience, and a flexible schedule; data center engineering experience, technical-documentation skills, and a related associate or technical degree are preferred. The position is based in Sterling, Virginia, with starting pay of 32.88 to 57.50 USD per hour.
