Description
Amazon Web Services is hiring a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical data center electrical and mechanical equipment, including generators, fuel systems, switchgear, UPS systems, PDUs, batteries, cooling systems, chillers, pumps, and motors. The role performs daily facility rounds, building and electrical power management monitoring, rack installations and decommissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, technical writing, and project support. It requires at least one year of relevant electrical, mechanical, or data center experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, Microsoft Office experience, and flexibility for rotating shifts, on-call work, and travel between data center sites. The position is based in Sterling, Virginia, with starting pay of 32.00–57.00 USD per hour.
