Description
Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical electrical and mechanical data center equipment, including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS systems, PDUs, batteries, cooling systems, chillers, pumps, and fire and life-safety equipment. The role performs building and rack-level maintenance, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, preventive maintenance, technical writing, project execution, and contractor support, with shifts that may rotate and include on-call duties. It is physically based at the MDD Pecos, Texas site, may require travel between data center locations, and offers a base salary of 37.64–65.91 USD per hour plus relocation stipend eligibility, sign-on payments, and restricted stock units.
