Description
Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical electrical and mechanical data center equipment, including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS systems, PDUs, batteries, cooling systems, chillers, pumps, and fire and life-safety systems. The role performs building rounds, BMS and EPMS monitoring, rack installs and decommissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, technical writing, and project support. It is physically based at the MDD Pecos, Texas site, may involve travel between data center locations, and requires flexible weekend, night, and holiday scheduling. The position requires at least two years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience, Microsoft Office experience, and the ability to travel or commute to active data center sites.
