Description
Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities, including diesel generators, fuel systems, three-phase electrical systems, UPSs, PDUs, batteries, cooling systems, chillers, pumps, and motors. The role includes preventive maintenance, root-cause analysis, facility and rack-level troubleshooting, contractor supervision, safety oversight, operational reporting, and on-call emergency response. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while two or more years of data center engineering experience, backup generator knowledge, electrical safety knowledge, and mechanical or HVAC knowledge are preferred. The position is based in Hayward or San Francisco, California, with starting pay of 37.83 to 66.10 USD per hour.
