Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Technician for regional data center sites in Texas. The role maintains, operates, troubleshoots, and repairs mission-critical electrical and mechanical equipment, including generators, switchgear, UPS systems, cooling systems, and building management systems. Responsibilities include daily facility rounds, preventive maintenance, rack installations, root-cause analysis, technical writing, vendor support, and on-call or rotating shifts. Candidates need at least one year of electrical or mechanical facilities maintenance experience, Microsoft Office experience, and flexibility for weekend, night, and holiday work; data center engineering experience, technical-documentation skills, and a related associate or technical degree are preferred. The role may require travel or temporary work at alternative sites, and Amazon does not sponsor immigration visas for this position.
