Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical electrical and mechanical data center equipment, including generators, fuel systems, switchgear, UPS systems, PDUs, batteries, cooling systems, chillers, pumps, and motors. The role performs building rounds, monitors building and electrical power management systems, conducts preventive maintenance and root-cause analysis, supports rack installations and decommissioning, manages work requests, and coordinates with contractors and vendors. It requires travel between data center sites, flexible weekend, night, and holiday scheduling, and may involve on-call rotations. The position offers a base salary of 37.64–65.91 USD per hour in Sterling, Virginia, along with relocation stipends for eligible candidates and comprehensive benefits.
