Description
AWS is hiring a Data Center Facility Operations and Maintenance Technician to oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical infrastructure in AWS data centers. The role includes maintaining customer availability, operating and troubleshooting UPS, switchgear, generators, chillers, HVAC, VFDs, and transformers; taking routine equipment readings; supervising contractors; and enforcing safety procedures. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and the ability to work rotating shifts and respond to on-call emergencies.
