Description

AWS is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Technician to support the physical operation and maintenance of AWS data centers. The role manages electrical, mechanical, and fire/life-safety equipment; plans and executes corrective and preventive maintenance; oversees contractors and vendors; responds to incidents; coordinates with operating partners; and supports capacity, reliability, safety, and efficiency projects. The position requires rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and may include on-call rotations.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: At least 1 year of experience in data center operations or electrical/mechanical systems
Experience with HVAC, UPS, generators, or power distribution systems
Experience working in a data center or critical facility environment
Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
Familiarity with Building Management Systems
Familiarity with Electrical Power Monitoring Systems
Experience with preventive maintenance procedures
Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout safety procedures
Experience troubleshooting UPS, PDU, or generator systems
Ability to obtain relevant electrical or mechanical certifications
