Description
AWS is hiring a Data Center Technician to perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix, network troubleshooting, incident response, and routine repairs supporting AWS data center operations. The role requires on-call participation, scheduled maintenance and change management, stakeholder communication, documentation, and training of new team members. Candidates must have at least 18 months of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience and 18 months of Layer 1/2 networking experience, with data center experience, relevant certifications, Linux knowledge, and IT-related education or military experience preferred. The position involves shift work including nights, weekends, and holidays, and requires travel or commuting to active data center sites.
