Description
The Data Center Technician at the University of Chicago supports and optimizes daily operations across enterprise data center environments. This role involves troubleshooting complex technical and operational issues, improving processes, ensuring compliance with infrastructure standards, and serving as a technical resource. The technician will handle various aspects like DCIM monitoring, asset tracking, environmental system maintenance, server and storage system upkeep, and managing equipment lifecycle. They will also coordinate with vendors, oversee equipment movement, and participate in disaster recovery and emergency response.
