Microsoft is hiring a Data Center Technician for its U.S. Government Airgap team to prepare, install, troubleshoot, replace, decommission, and maintain data center hardware and infrastructure. The role includes performing startups and shutdowns, quality checks, diagnostics, incident reporting, safety and security compliance, and supporting other technicians. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, basic computer hardware knowledge, at least one year of IT equipment support experience, and an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI access. The typical base pay is USD 27.45–48.03 per hour, with higher ranges in the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
