Microsoft is hiring a Data Center Technician to prepare, install, diagnose, troubleshoot, replace, and decommission network, server, storage, and cabling equipment in data centers supporting Microsoft cloud services. The role includes completing assigned tickets, following security and safety procedures, performing basic hardware startups and shutdowns, executing simple changes and refreshes, and escalating incidents. It requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent with basic computer hardware knowledge or equivalent experience, and offers a typical U.S. base pay range of USD $23.65–$37.07 per hour, with higher ranges in the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area. The position may require domestic travel, 12-hour shifts, and non-standard hours, and does not offer visa sponsorship.
