Description
The entry-level Data Center Technician installs, racks, and stacks servers and network devices; performs copper and fiber cabling; supports basic Cisco switch configuration and connectivity; maintains rack, cabling, and floor documentation; manages power distribution and cable management; and performs hardware replacements and physical-layer troubleshooting. The role requires data center hardware knowledge, cabling standards, Cisco networking fundamentals, Visio or similar documentation tools, attention to detail, and the ability to lift equipment up to 40–50 pounds. CompTIA Network+, DCIM, and TIA/EIA exposure are preferred. The position is full time and requires system access and a badge ID.
