TEKsystems is hiring a contract, fully onsite Data Center Technician-Trainee in Altoona, Iowa. The role provides six months of on-the-job training and involves installing, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting fiber and copper telecommunications infrastructure, performing cable pullbacks and conduit work, inspecting outside-plant facilities, supporting network equipment startups and shutdowns, and responding to outages. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer hardware knowledge, Microsoft Office familiarity, a valid driver's license, and flexibility for nonstandard hours, including weekends and holidays. The schedule includes first- and third-shift rotations, with interviews scheduled October 5–9 and a start date of October 26, 2026.
