Microsoft is hiring a Data Center Technician to stage, set up, troubleshoot, diagnose, replace, and decommission data center hardware such as racks, hard drives, switches, servers, cabling, network, and storage equipment. The role follows standard operating procedures, requires guidance from experienced technicians, and includes security, safety, environmental, and data-management training. It may involve domestic travel, non-standard shifts, and occasional overnight stays, and requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer hardware knowledge, and fluent English. Two or more years of IT equipment support experience is preferred.
