Microsoft is hiring a Datacenter Technician (DCT) Intern to work onsite at its Sydney datacenters and learn datacenter operations under experienced technicians. The intern will assist with preparing, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning network, storage, and server equipment; complete support tickets; follow safety and security procedures; and escalate incidents. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer hardware knowledge, an interest in IT equipment, relevant technical study, and Australian citizenship or eligible residency. Preferred qualifications include CompTIA certifications, physical ability to work at heights, stakeholder communication, English proficiency, a desire to develop technical skills, and flexibility for non-standard hours.
