Description
AWS Infrastructure Operations is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer to maintain and operate the electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems in AWS data centers. The role manages corrective and preventative maintenance, facility incidents, planned and unplanned site work, vendor and contractor oversight, performance reporting, change and incident management, and projects improving capacity, efficiency, safety, reliability, and sustainability. It requires a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field, 10+ years of electrical or mechanical engineering experience or 5+ years of relevant discipline experience, and vendor management experience; data center engineering experience and knowledge of critical electrical systems are preferred. The role may involve on-call rotations and shifts of up to 12 hours.
