AWS is hiring a Data Centre Engineering Operations Technician in Auckland to support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of data centre facilities, including low-voltage electrical systems, diesel generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, HVAC, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, and fire suppression systems. The role manages colocation vendors and subcontractors, reviews routine and corrective maintenance, establishes performance benchmarks, prepares reports, and leads projects to improve capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability. It requires a rostered on-call schedule, physical work in the facility, Microsoft application skills, a valid driver's license, and a vehicle.
