Description
A Data Engineer in a bank's Wholesale & Operations Data team will design and maintain real-time and batch data pipelines, develop data strategy and architecture, establish engineering best practices, and lead improvements to data engineering solutions. The role supports core, payment, digital journey, marketing, risk, and compliance systems across UAE, Egypt, Pakistan, and other international banking regions, using enterprise data lakes, Azure Data Lake, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and real-time streaming platforms. Responsibilities include developing on-premises and cloud data lake requirements, solution design, effort estimation, data management, release and resource management, and delivery of critical regulatory and operational reporting applications.
