Salma Health is hiring a mid-level Data Engineer to build and operate a HIPAA-regulated data platform for mental and behavioral health. The role owns end-to-end pipeline segments, including API and file-based data extraction, Dagster orchestration, medallion architecture transformations with dbt, semantic-layer metrics, AWS infrastructure, testing, and documentation. The position is hybrid, with a preference for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, or Salt Lake City, and offers a base salary of $119,000–$185,000 plus discretionary bonus and medical, dental, vision, and PTO benefits.
