Description
Amazon is hiring a Data Engineer to build and operate geospatial data infrastructure for its Worldwide Sustainability organization. The role owns data ingestion, quality, metadata, pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, AWS data services, APIs, dashboards, and reporting, while partnering with science, engineering, product, and program teams to support risk assessment, climate, weather, and socioeconomic analysis. Candidates need at least three years of data engineering experience, geospatial data expertise, and experience with distributed data systems; AWS, modern programming languages, and non-relational databases are preferred. The position is based in San Francisco or Seattle, with annual base salaries of $152,000–$205,600 in San Francisco and $132,100–$178,800 in Seattle.
