Description

Altimate AI is hiring a Data Engineer to build large-scale, cloud-native data infrastructure and AI-powered data systems. The role focuses on scalable data pipelines, SQL optimization, query profiling, SQL AST and parser-based lineage, and dynamic ETL generation, with experience in Airflow or dbt. The engineer will work on PB-scale data infrastructure, AWS-based cloud deployments, Kubernetes, and open-source initiatives, while contributing to AI capabilities used by thousands of data teams.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 3-5 years of data engineering experience focused on scalable data pipelines and systems
Extensive SQL query profiling, optimization, and performance tuning experience, preferably with Snowflake
Experience with SQL AST and SQL parsers for column-level lineage and dynamic ETL generation
Experience building data pipelines with Airflow or dbt
Preferred Qualifications: Solid understanding of cloud platforms, particularly AWS
Familiarity with Kubernetes for containerized deployments
