CANCOM Austria AG is hiring a full-time Data Engineer in Dornbirn for an on-site or mobile role. The position focuses on designing, building, and migrating modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and other Azure technologies; developing data pipelines, models, and lakehouse architectures; modernizing reporting and analytics with Power BI; and implementing data governance through Microsoft Purview. The engineer will independently deliver customer projects, provide technical consulting, coordinate with business departments, and present results. The role requires several years of experience in data engineering, BI development, or comparable data projects, practical Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Stack experience, Power BI knowledge, German language skills, and the ability to communicate directly with customers and business departments. Compensation is EUR 65,000 annually, with flexible working arrangements and home-office options.
