Description

Expression is hiring an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and operationally deploy scalable AI-enabled data and machine learning solutions for the Department of Defense CDAO ADA IR program. The role is onsite in Washington, DC, supports secure mission-critical environments, and combines data engineering, applied data science, MLOps, model deployment, visualization, stakeholder communication, and Agile delivery. The position requires a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI and experience with Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark, Databricks, machine learning frameworks, data visualization, and secure containerized cloud environments.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree, major certification, or equivalent specialized experience; the bachelor’s pathway requires a degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience.
Required Previous Experiences: Recent specialized experience: 3 years with a bachelor’s degree, 7 years with an associate’s degree or major certification, or 11 years without a listed degree/certification pathway.
Experience developing machine learning models from training through deployment.
Experience with data visualization and data storytelling.
Preferred Qualifications: 4 or more years of applied data science, Palantir Foundry development, or data-pipeline development experience.
Familiarity with MLOps, API development, and secure cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Palantir Foundry.
Strong understanding of data validation, model testing, and performance evaluation.
Secret clearance required; ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
