Description

Kpler is hiring a Data Engineer to architect and maintain data ingestion pipelines using Java, Python, Kafka, S3, Iceberg, Airflow, Snowflake, and ClickHouse. The role owns production reliability, leads engineering delivery, improves developer experience, partners with cross-functional and client teams, and mentors engineers. Candidates need approximately three or more years of data engineering experience, strong Java and Python skills, SQL and data modeling knowledge, AWS production experience, and familiarity with Kubernetes, GitOps, and CI/CD.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: ~3+ years of professional software or data engineering experience building, operating, and maintaining production data ingestion pipelines
Experience owning production cloud services on AWS, including monitoring, performance tuning, and Kubernetes deployment workflows
Preferred Qualifications: Experience optimizing Snowflake resource sizing and cost/performance trade-offs or operating OLAP engines like ClickHouse
Familiarity with AWS Transfer Family, Excel add-in integrations, or Python boto3 client data delivery setups
Basic exposure to TypeScript, Vue.js, or API integrations for presenting data in end-user workflows
