Pyramid Consulting is seeking a Data Engineer (I) for a 05+ month contract with long-term potential, located in Portland, Oregon and remote. The role builds agentic data-processing pipelines, cleans and catalogs spatial and research datasets, coordinates processed-data outputs with MAXO researchers, and manages annotation-job coordination and quality feedback with a team in India. Candidates need Python, data science and engineering, data-quality, visualization, and analysis skills, plus experience with human studies or surveys; VLM and multimodal GenAI evaluation knowledge is a plus. The pay range is $40–$45 per hour, with medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid sick leave benefits.
